How can I clean the device housing and the attachments?
To clean the device, disconnect it from the power supply. For private use, clean the device housing and attachment elements with a clean cloth dampened with clear water or a mild soapy solution. For clinical and professional use, clean and disinfect the device housing, plate attachment, and ball attachment with a suitable surface disinfectant for medical devices before and after each application. In general, we recommend alcohol-free disinfectants, such as SinAlc sensitiv from HIMED or RHEOSEPT-WD plus Wipes from Rheosol, which are suitable for use on sensitive surfaces to avoid damaging the device housing. If necessary, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
What settings are available on the device and what are they used for?
The upper part of the button controls the intensity of the vibration. The lower button is used to set the frequency: Level I 100 Hz; Level II 50 Hz.
My novafon gets very warm at the front. What should I do? And how long should an application last?
A single therapeutic application should not exceed a maximum duration of 2 treatment sessions of 20 minutes each per day. Please note that the novafon one must be switched off for 15 minutes after 20 minutes of operation to prevent overheating. When treating sensitive areas of the body, such as the face, neck, or head, or areas with severe pain, the application time should be reduced and adapted individually.
When must I not use the device?
Treatments with the novafon sound wave devices are not permitted in the following cases:
· Open wounds / eczema (in the body region to be treated)
· Arteriosclerosis (in the body region to be treated)
· Current episodes of epilepsy
· Pregnancy
· Implants (in the body region to be treated)
· Pacemakers
· Thrombosis (in the body region to be treated)
· Brain pacemakers
· Cardiac arrhythmias
· Tumors
Side effects: Please note that the following side effects may occur in rare cases:
· Increased pain / unpleasant sensation
· Feeling unwell / dizziness
· Skin irritation
· Reflex / involuntary muscle contractions
Please stop the treatment immediately if any of these side effects occur. Please note that slight reddening and warming of the skin is no cause for concern. This is a desired effect of local vibration therapy, caused by increased blood circulation.
