Treatment of the external elbow
The NOVAFON device can be used for the regulation of muscle tone and treatment of the sore areas of the elbow. NOVAFON treatment takes a total of 10–15 minutes per side and can be repeated up to twice daily. Before you start, plug your NOVAFON into the socket, take a comfortable seat on a chair and put your arm down. Carry out the treatment on the affected side, or both sides if required. Make sure to follow the steps outlined here precisely.
1 – STROKING OF THE OUTSIDE
OF THE ARM
To treat the outer elbow, make sure you are sitting comfortably and rest your arm on a surface. Switch your NOVAFON to level II and slowly move it in long, linear strokes from the wrist to the elbow using the plate attachment. Then perform the same motion from the elbow to the middle of the upper arm. This treatment should take about 2–3 minutes.
2 – TREATMENT OF SORE AREAS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ARM
Now select the ball attachment. Switch the device to level I, guide it over the sore areas and focus there for about 30–60 seconds. You can intensively spot-treat the main pain point for up to 3 minutes, or use a gentle circular motion. Repeat this treatment up to twice a day.
The condition often referred to as “golfer’s elbow” only very rarely develops actually as the result of playing golf. Medically speaking, it is a pain syndrome whose trigger is located in the area of the finger and hand muscles and their tendon points on the upper arm bone. Its medically correct term is enthesitis or medial epicondylitis, an inflammation of the connective tissue between tendon and bone of the flexion muscles of the forearm. This is caused by excessive strain at work (computer, mouse, smartphone) or can be sports-related.
