Massage of the cervical spine
The NOVAFON vibration product can be used for the massage of the back muscles. A NOVAFON massage takes a total of 10–15 minutes per section and can be repeated up to twice daily. Before you start, plug your NOVAFON into the socket and take a comfortable seat on a chair. If your mobility is impaired, seek assistance from a second person. In this massage scenario, make sure that you do not work on the spinous processes of the spinal column, but to the left or right of them. Carry out the massage on the affected side, or both sides if required. Make sure to follow the steps outlined here.
Massage of cervical spine
1 – PLANAR STROKING/SMOOTHING OF THE NECK AND SHOULDER MUSCLES
Select the plate attachment to massage the cervical spine. First, find the bone behind your ear and switch the device to level II. Imagine a line starting at this bone, down over the neck to the shoulder, and move over this area with the NOVAFON in long strokes. Repeat each stroke three to four times.
2 – MASSAGE OF THE UPPER BACK AND THE SHOULDER BLADES
Above the shoulder blades, move the vibration product from the spine towards the shoulder, using the plate attachment. Then use linear strokes to massage the area between the shoulder blade and the spine several times, from top to bottom, and circle around the shoulder blade down to the armpit. Continue for 2–3 minutes.
3 – CONTINUED MASSAGE
Then select the ball attachment and massage the individual pain spots for 30–60 seconds at level I. You can focus on the affected point, or massage it using gentle circular motions. Repeat this massage up to twice a day and on both sides, if required.

1 – MASSAGE OF THE UPPER BACK AND THE SHOULDER BLADES
To massage the thoracic spine, start with the plate attachment at level II. Move the vibration product above the shoulder blades in large strokes from the spine towards the shoulder. Then use linear strokes to massage the area between the shoulder blade and the spine several times, from top to bottom, and circle around the shoulder blade down to the armpit. Continue for 2–3 minutes.
2 – MASSAGE OF THORACIC SPINE
Now, pass the vibration product up and down to the left and right of the spinal column in long, linear strokes. The entire area between the spine and the shoulder blades should be massaged for 2–3 minutes. Then, move the device diagonally along the ribs, from the spine towards the flanks. Breathing deeply in and out enhances the positive effect of this exercise.
3 – CONTINUED MASSAGE
Then select the ball attachment and massage the individual spots for 30–60 seconds at level I. You can focus on the affected point, or massage it using gentle circular motions. Repeat this massage up to twice a day and on both sides, if required.

1 – MASSAGE OF THE LUMBAR SPINE
You should ideally lie on your side to massage the lumbar spine. Select the plate attachment, switch the vibration product to level II and move it over the area between the ribs and the pelvis, to the right and left of the spine, in both directions for 2–3 minutes.
2 – MASSAGE OF THE PELVIS
Next, turn to the pelvis or gluteal muscles. Massage the whole area up to the gluteal fold for 2–3 minutes.
3 – CONTINUED MASSAGE
Then switch to the ball attachment on level I, and massage the affected areas for 30–60 seconds each. You can focus on a specific spot, or massage it using gentle circular motions. Repeat this massage up to twice a day.
