Treatment of the hip
The NOVAFON device can be used for the regulation of muscle tone and treatment of the sore areas within the hip region. NOVAFON treatment takes a total of 10–15 minutes per side and can be repeated up to twice daily. Before you start, plug your NOVAFON into the socket and lie down on your side. If your mobility is impaired, seek assistance from a second person. Carry out the treatment on the affected side, or both sides if required. Make sure to follow the steps outlined here precisely.
1 – TREATMENT OF THE HIP REGION
You should ideally lie on your side to treat the hip. Switch your NOVAFON to level II; with the plate attachment, move the device along the lateral thigh muscle to the knee and in shorter strokes over the hip area in long, linear strokes. Perform this stroking motion slowly for 2–3 minutes.
2 – TREATMENT OF SORE AREAS
Next treat the sore areas with the ball attachment on level I for 30–60 seconds each. You can either spot-treat the sore areas or use a gentle circular motion. Sore areas are often located along the line between the hip and knee. Repeat this treatment up to twice a day.
